All you need is a fag and a headband. Oh and quite a few people to be fair.

Did a clutch on a Nissan Micra in 45 minutes once.
It was booked in and we sort of forgot about it and had to get it back to the owner at closing time, 2 of us just blitzed it....

On a side note, remember the 80's Vauxhalls where you didn't even need to drop the gearbox to do the clutch ?
Took you longer to jack it up than it did to do the clutch.

The easiest one I ever did was on a Datsun Cherry ...... by myself, and it took around 20 / 25 mins.
First, jack front O/S wheel and remove ...... then remove a small plate in wheel arch (3 x bolts) exposing the primary shaft assembly.
5 X Bolts to unbolt assembly and withdraw through wheel arch hole. next, remove the pressed steel top-third of the bell housing ... 4 x bolts, if I remember rightly.
Having now exposed the uppermost clutch pressure-plate bolt ... remove, and turn flywheel so the next bolt is uppermost, then remove. Continue till all bolts are removed and lift out the pressure plate together with the clutch plate.
Offer up the primary shaft assembly with left hand through the hole in the wheel arch, whilst lowering the pressure and clutch plate with right hand, up against the flywheel, and once in approx position wiggle the primary shaft assembly to locate through the clutch plate and on to the splines, then push it home and replace the 5 x bolts holding the assembly in place.
Get the pressure plate into position to put a bolt through and into the flywheel .... turn flywheel, and repeat until all cover bolts are in position then go around again with a torque wrench to complete. Replace the top third of the bell housing cover.
Replace small plate in wheel arch and wheel. Remove jack ...... job done........ This can all be done with your best suit on .... no need for overalls.
I only wish all clutches on FWD cars could be replaced as easy as this one. ;)

I hope the owner in question has agreed to return the product because some do not accept this kind of deal.
