I'll start off the new section then.........Mr D ?

Clutch is playing up so in we go .I'll be documenting all as I go and try and get a bit of a guide pulled together .Manuals are non-existant but it all looks pretty familiar :wink:

Yes, plus it is the only green one I know of here in the UK, one RHD green was sold to France some years back.

Yes Iain's car .
Strange fault that I haven't been able to replicate .Put a few hundred miles on it and it won't break for me :lol: Iain insists as soon as he gets it back it will mess him about so pull the box and check clutch/arm .
All hydraulics replaced,correct movement on arm and not heat related but it will randomly lose ability to select gears ,then it will ,then it won't :evil:
Gear oil level correct and good colour ......Got to be something in the bell housing playing up .......

He did not sell in the end, he went out in a new Porsche 911 and was not feeling the amount of money it will lose over the comming years!!

You never know but it's so intermittent I've money on a spring or bearing fault jamming it up ......

Shift linkage is bizarrely complicated especially under the lever.

DeLoreans have a well known problem relating to the clutch line running next to the coolant pipes. Original plastic line gets hot and expands rather than moving the fluid. Usually only a problem in the summer mumphs over here.

Can't remember what the clutch line is made of on the 300 but if it isn't braided stainless, I'd start by changing it for one that is.

Hi Martin and congratulations .

Doesn't seem to be heat related .Will literally drive for hundreds of miles without issue but then feck off after 10 ...then be OK .

If that car is the same as mine then there is no clutch fork.

The linkage under the gear stick is just a simple cable change linkage system.

It forking does have one .I can see it move what looks to be about the right amount .

Not likely - yours is one of only two UK biturbos.... :wink:

Iain's has to all intents and purposes an A610 engine and transmission.

Clutch is well worn ,flywheel polished and an unreal amount of ultra-fine powder covering the assembly .One of the cover plate springs looks worn but I think the main problem is the amount of crud on the whole lot .
