Coolant hose

I noticed the coolant hose which sits in the 'V' looks a bit balloon'd. I believe its been like this for a while.
Is this usual ?

It's buried in the engine hence a bit reluctant to start taking bits off to get to it if there is nothing wrong.

Which of the three are you referring to? The one going out the back of the water pump or the two that go out to the sides? The two side ones sometimes do swell a bit as they're a bit bent in the first place.

The Large one at the back of the water pump is
Just a straight bit of hose, measure the diameter of the Water pump output and order a length from eBay and cut to size,

It is the one going out the back that I was concerned about. Perhaps they 'balloon' a bit when normal ?

That’s normal looking for an older hose but swap with a New length of straight silicone hose if worried.
