A610 low fuel light stays on

Postby jagcat12 » Fri Oct 23, 2020 9:42 pm

the low fuel level warning light and SERVICE signal stay on all the time which effects the operation of the trip computer.
The fuel tank is full so not that. Anyone had similar problem?
Reading the hand book these two lights are connected .

Wow, that's weird, is the fuel gauge working?
As far as I can see from the wiring diagram, the trip computer turns on the low fuel light, and it the control for it. The fuel gauge sensor plugs directly into it too. Other connections are to the anti theft relay and the main power on relay.
Oddly the external temperature sender is also wired into the circuit- I have always wondered why there is an external temperature sender without a display. It's in the LHS door mirror, it might be worth checking those connections.
The service light comes on with any warning light.
Have fun and happy hunting. If you want the circuit wiring diagram, PM me your email address.

Is the fuel level reading correctly in gallons otherwise?

Had this on my old a610 and I am sure it was the fuel sender causing the fault.
