In response to Alpineandy, I can categorically say that if you want a stunning mid-size hatch, the only one to go for is the new Citroen C4 coupe (and it's French too!!!!)

What does it look like...

You'll find pics at this link, although I'm pretty sure there are nicer pics available if you go looking. The car was featured in the Paris Motor Show, so there'll be some nice pics there, and it was also in about 4 of the last 6 issues of Auto Express.

Giant C2 meets Honda civic....not particularly radical or inspiring in my opinion.

And check out the pics in Auto Express of the VTR. It's got 180bhp, with the VTS due out next year with over 230bhp and poss 4wd.

I'm not in the market for that kind of car, and don't know which is better in it's class etc.. But I do know what a Megane looks like, however without looking at the badge I couldn't tell a C4 from a toyota (whatever it's name is), Despite the picture you highlighted the other day.

Lets face it the wide body probably serves little purpose other than to allow a wider track as the car is front wheel drive. At least the Clio was brave and went RWD.....the 255bhp version is meant to be a major improvement on the original. Give me a Turbo2 Maxi anyday!!!!!!!!

well i have a 225 megane - in the right colour so you can't loose it ;-) orange does get you looked at - and i'm loving it!

but also i've got a 285bhp turbo 2 being made as we speak - and to be fair even when the T2 was a bit sick it was still more fun that the megane

new cars are BORING!! FACT (normally i would put that its more reliable but as its a renault i won't tempt fate!!!)
