Check your bolts!!!

Postby ben » Sun Feb 20, 2005 10:30 pm

After getting up a late for work on thursday morning i decided that i needed to meke up a little time on the way there. I was accelerating at about 90 down the A52 near where i live and suddenly the car slid to the left - i thought 'sh*t', thats wierd and corrected it. It then went sharply to the right and continued to go round, all wheels locked up by now, i was seeing the on-coming traffic coming towards me through the back window, i then thought f**k!!!!, this is really bad!!!!. God knows how i did it, but after the car spinning a few more times and on-coming traffic literally missing me by inches, the car came to a halt across the road. Managed to start her agian and drove off the road. After having a few moments to compose myself i looked at the off-side rear wheel and noticed that the large bolt which connects the lower wish-bone to the running gear was hanging out. I havn't looked at it properly yet, but when i do i will certainly being investing in some 'lock nut'!
