High oil pressure on A610

Hi-(or help!)
Has anyone had any experience of hight oil pressure (on the dash gauge anyway) on an A610?
Have had my 610 for about a month- generally behaving itself, everything works but the oil pressure is high when cold (top of the gauge).
When warm it settles to about 25% at idle and about 60% when on the move- no idea of the scale..
I've changed the filter and oil (for synthetic) but no effect. Engine seems fine otherwise- any suggestions? Old oil was clean and looks to have been changed regularly (fully stamped service book too!

If it's not pushing it out of the engine somewhere (dipstick, rockercover, breather or exhaust) then IMHO it's an iffy sender or gauge.
But someone with real mechanical understanding may know different....

Thats exactly how a healthy car should be - the pressure is higher when cold as the viscosity of cold oil is higher. I don't know about 610 oil pressure gauges but every other Renault I've owned (lots) have had very unreliable ones.

Regular use of electrical switch cleaner sprayed on the connector (lhs of the dash) to the cluster cures that.

Having bought my first A610 in January I can confirm the behaviour of the oil guage. I tend to wait until it has dropped back before assuming the engine is warm enough to drive with any kind of spirit.
I installed a Road Angel at the weekend and that gives 100% accurate speed readout at constand speeds. This confirms the Alpine speedo is very inaccurate. It says 36 mph when I am only doing 30 giving a 20% error. I always rely on my Road Angel or Road Pilot as installed in my various cars as you can be done for doing as little as 32 in a 30 limit these days.

I'd be hoping my Alpine is under reading, or reacting slowly, otherwise it's not anywhere near as fast as it feels!
