Thanks for that info Mark, that's spot on what I was thinking about a 200T, got my eye on one now, but I only do about 5k a year in a normal car so it's whether I can justify the outlay and still keep the ' collection ' , winter always puts me in a clear out mood, but the Slagster is getting a bit slack in it's old age so we'll see.
Not bothered about the cup chassis or the 18'' wheels, just a bog standard 200 EDC would do me.
Keep my eye on values, The ones I'm looking at are 4-8k miles a year old but are about 75% of new value, they were about 19k new? It's the only new/ish Renault that does anything for me.

It wasn't that long ago (was it?) that magazines like CCC (Car and Car Conversions) was going on about a Mini that got 100bhp from a 1000 cc motor and how impressive that was, but It wasn't particularly nice to drive on the road...

My A110 had a pretty standard R12 TS engine (say 65bhp) and went like the clappers as far as I was concerned...

It's a shame they've made modern cars so bloody heavy which nearly negates the power improvements although they are much easier to use day to day..

I am getting all excited about this new Alpine.... I cannot wait to see how the "Press" are going to write this one up... Is it a Renault? or and Alpine?? with the Alpine history in racing, I expect they will go from that point of view, but either way, the brand name will become known in the UK, and fingers crossed, we will get the recognition that these cars are true hidden supercars...
"The secrets out!!" sort of thing.
I just hope that they don't take short cuts in manufacture etc.. This new car needs to impress!

***Fingers crossed***
