some sort of landmark...

Postby eastlmark » Mon Jan 08, 2018 11:53 pm

New Alpine topic hit 100,000 views!
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

10 days on and another 7000 views... as a knock on, Alpines for sale thread is also getting a lot of hits maybe from curious prospective new A110 customers, so, if you are or thinking of selling, it may well be a better selling forum now than it ever has been. You never know, a prospective new A110 buyer might be tempted by a GTA as a stop gap.

Shhh .. GTAs are the best kept secret in classic cars in the UK....we don't want all this new interest in the brand to hike prices.

If i had to choose between GTA and TR......bearing in mind the TR is insured for a silly £120K.........I would take a GTA.
Best car any day.
Will be working on GTA this weekend, as TR broke down yesterday. thankfully, only looks like a water hose has burst, but lots of steam was dramatic.

I think Simons TR is a very different kettle of fish.

This might suggest that a separate forum for the new A110 would be a good thing. There are basically two places on the internet for English discussion and advice on the new A110:

Here (specifically the new car thread)
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/top ... 843480&i=0

Both horrible to navigate and difficult to search. I'm not even going to mention FB!

Can we have a separate forum?

[how about that for a controversial first post?!]
