Finding a new A110

Postby jimbobc » Tue Sep 25, 2018 8:04 pm

Hi all,

New to the forum! I tried an A110 yesterday and loved it and for a brief while had the option to buy an unregistered Preimere in black which was later sold to someone else. I really want to avoid waiting a year and would be happy with a Pure from what I read with no options apart from maybe the bleu abysse paint (I think this is the nice metallic I have seen online0. Do people think there will be any cancelled orders appearing over the coming weeks? My dealer told me of the 16 cars ordered 15 were Pure.

Cheers,

James.

I think there is 8 or so dealers in the country, you could try calling them all for a status update on availability. Also a few available on Auto-Trader.

2007 : Gurston Down & RAOC Champion
2008 : Rushmoor & Eelmoor & ACSMC Hillclimb class Champion

I may be wrong but I don't think there will be any other cars available until all the PE have been completed and sold so the only way to get a car this year will be an unsold PE and there should still be some available.

Try Alpine Orpington (who had a black one which may be the one you were offered) Alpine Solihull, Alpine Manchester and Alpine London West. If none of the Renault Retail group dealers can help you will have to try one of the independent franchises.

To be honest, to spec up a Pure with Sports Exhaust, the paint, brakes and wheels is probably going to be near the price of those for sale.

Yes guess you are right. The dealer implied that most of his Pure orders were standard spec but then I guess you only have the smaller wheels and brakes etc

Been offered a white one. Does anyone know whether this has been a popular choice and what it looks like in person?

The Alpine Advisors at the Alpine Centres should, perhaps, be able to give some indication of colour choice spread.
The white car that was at the Manchester dealership in May looked good to me. Obviously best to go and see the car in person before making a decision.

I believe the overwhelming choice has been blue although the car I test drove was white. It looked good but to me it was rather plain, I think the A110 needs a colour that's a bit of a statement so apart from blue the present colour palette on offer is rather limited.
Go and look at it and it might just be the colour for you.

Tim,

I think you are right it does look plain but I need to weigh up probably my only chance to get a list price Premiere and beat a 12 month wait for other models. Would be selling an immaculate V6S F Type.

I think the pearlescent white ones look quite good, I’ve not seen a solid white.

If it’s a premier edition it will be pearlescent.

Yep I think the pearlescent white is the best, having seen a lot of them when we where down in Le mans classics you have got loads of options to add some graphics to the car and the white ones looked the best, plus the car stays cooler in the sun in the summer when you have left it in a car park for Hrs.

well done- you're very fortunate that there are a few available.
Enjoy it. You're only a few weeks behind the rest of us and we had to put our deposits down quite some time ago!
