Servicing new a110

This is probably a keeper so I want to look after it. I will obviously use Alpine for the service intervals but I’d like to change the oil more regularly as I do with my other cars.

Has anyone worked out how oil changes are undertaken on the new Alpine? Will the dealers just suck the oil out of the dipstick? I always prefer to drain from the sump which I know isn’t perfect but seems to be better at removing contaminants.

Is the A110 the same block as one of the Meganes? How do they do it for that Megane, or what ever car the engine is shared with?

Yes it’s the block in the Megane R.S. but that won’t have the undertray/ mid- engine complications!

I think draining the oil alway has to be better than sucking out. If it turns out there is no drain plug in the sump you can always get one fitted. Smart cars were suck out only but there was soon a thriving market for modified sumos with a drain plug.

I'm sure I have seen pictures of the car with just the part of the floor beneath the engine removed, so it should be possible to drain rather than suck.
