condensation in distributor

Once again my a610 started but misfiring all over the place and again condensation and corrosion of the terminals was the cause
Any one got any idea to prevent this happening .Would a gasket between housing and distributor cap help

On my old Fuego, which had similar issues with its distributor, I found spraying Holt's Damp Start all over the cap worked well. Creates a silicone seal all over the cap, where it meets the distributor and the leads. It's cheap, may be worth a try

A classic problem with all old cars fitted with a distributor, hot to cold forms condensation.
Halfords made a lot of money in the old days selling products to start engines in the morning.
