Isn't there a very affordable poly carb alternative available?

Why yes there is if you don't fancy a re-mortgage...It's never going to be OE though and it's up to owners but on a car that is still under 5 figures? Asking ain't getting mind.

Feel free to sell them cheaper if you can buy them for less. Basically there are none left and that was the last retail price from Renault. I had them on offer for ages and they all went so those that bought did well. Most people get their glass on insurance and a major windscreen company happily paid the price this week with a trade discount. Cost the owner nothing but the excess.

I had a quote for retooling and because it’s toughened glass not laminated the estimate to get them back into production was £10k.

When it’s gone it’s gone and remanufacturing is not a solution as you end up with an inferior part that generally costs even more.

Best look after those rear screens.

If you’ve got an A610 check out the price hike from Porsche for the driving lights...

Come on Steve...tell us...
Bosch stopped making them in 2014 so they are all old stock now...

Is there any reason why you couldn’t use a laminated screen at the back too if the tooling is cheaper?

Around £700 each. So £2k to change the fog lamps and indicators on an A610. I’m going to cover mine with protection film if I ever drive it again.

We actually discussed doing this but apparently drilling holes in laminated screens is a big no no as opposed to toughened. I would have thought it was the other way round.
