Testa Rossa

Pictures show a "Red Head"

Any one seen it, sounds tidy.

??? was this the one that had red leather seat in it?? I seem to recall seeing this car before but with red seat inserts??
Just wondered if they took them out to try and help the sale??? could be wrong.... my Alzheimer's seems to kick in more these days...

Yes it's been for sale for a while, he paid £4-5k for it and done jack now wants £9k!

Again I don't see a problem with peeps making a butty but trying to make £5k is a bit cheeky. Looks nice to be fair but...?

Paul, I should like to know about the new wheels.
What are the rim sizes and offsets please, and also the model name.
They look like Rimstock/Team-Dynamics Race Pro 1.2's or 1.3's.
I guess this will be on the invoice. A quick phone picture could be good.
TIA.

It came from Scotland and I assume he got the wheels from Mr Holt. I don't think the previous owner was a member of a club. As far as I'm aware it's not been to clee no. I seem to remember that he tried to sell it a few times with no luck (again the previous scottish owner) then fitted new rims and a fresh paint job and it sold straight away.

That's all I know, check for rot very very carefully...

£6k is much more realistic it should go for that.

For anyone interested:

I sent a message to the seller earlier this week (just curious :wtf ) Here is my question & his answer.

Q What is the recorded mileage please ? Do you have old MOT`s or any service history with the car ?

A The mileage is at 80000 but the speedo only works now and again so this will be marginally higher. There is not much history with the car as it has been in storage since 2000 only being moted twice since. The last mot had no advisories however. The car is in amazing condition and I am only selling because I never get the time to use it. It is still kept undercover…

I viewed yesterday..... A bit tight for time at end of the day so I looked at the key issues that are important. Bear in mind any owner is trying to sell and get what they can so my own view is simply that and no way meant to be critical. Key point:-

1. Will need a trip to Lee (sills a certainty, rear pockets, rear turrets).... No view of front cross member of course.
2. Evidence of recent work underneath and tidy up... but much stonechip liberally applied...Some peeling and tell tale rot underneath some of it
3. Cooling hoses...possible leak (original steel pipe work)... So for me it'd be replace with stainless ASAP.
4. Paint - good quality overall, but shame it wasn't glass out and masking/overspray evident (purely subjective). Looked very very fresh ( a few months)
5. One headlight Len cracked and one tail lens cracked
6. Engine idled nicely...was hot and idling when I arrived. Oil pressure hot idle was about 1 (on a scale with 6 as max). Not sure if it would restart....owner wanted to leave idling as it hadn't moved for 4 months apparently
7.interior... After market ice and multi changer), black leather as expected, cracked and reasonable shape, no tears.
8. Team dynamics wheels - not sure of offsets (owner didn't know)
9. Speedo doesn't work (owner advised)
10. We didn't take it out so no idea how it drives

Price is subjective so I'll avoid that... I may be tempted depending on where the auction goes (so forgive me for keeping my powder dry)

If anyone wants anymore details, PM me...I've a few pics as well.

Cheers
Paul

Looks like its sold. Must have done deal, because it looked like it had been withdrawn from sale.

This was posted on ebay.

On 30-Mar-16 at 15:17:38 BST, seller added the following information:
Sorry to everyone who bidded on this car but it has developed a problem with the clutch on a recent test drive. If anyone is still interested contact me to discuss it. Otherwise the car will be put back on with this info included. I have had a quote of £800 to put in a new clutch. Sorry again to all those who have bid.
