Donington Parades

Postby stephendell » Mon Sep 05, 2005 5:24 pm

Dear Fellow Renault Enthusiasts,

The timetable has changed several times but currently the schedule is:

Parade Laps:

Saturday 13h00 - 13h30
Sunday 09h35 - 10h05

Cars will be released onto the circuit in batches of 25, behind a pace car not exceeding 50mph. No overtaking and no hanging back. Passengers are allowed in the standard vehicle accommodation.
As there is the possibility of 200 participants, it has been made clear that discipline will be required.

Histoire & Collection Demonstrations:

Saturday 12h40 - 12h55
Sunday 11h05 - 11h15
Sunday 13h20 - 13h30

Current list of vehicles is:

A442B - Gérard Larrousse
A443 - Michel Leclère
R5 TDC - Jean Ragnotti
RE60 - René Arnoux
Spider Cup trophy - Saul Graham
R21 Europa Club - Tony Hart
GTA V6 Turbo - Peter Garforth
A110 Groupe 4 - Bob Gibson
MARCADIER CAN-AM - Tony Gomis
A610 - Tim Jeffrey

Due to insurance restrictions I cannot confirm how many of the above cars will be on the circuit at any one time.

Regards
Stephen

Perhaps there will be no pace car and it's a crowd pleasing free for all. You may need to use some dummy moves to pass Rene, I think he had a bit of a reputation for blocking near the end of his career at the top of F1. In your GTA-lite you should be up for it though.

If anyone has a DVD of that duel or a longer clip (with the Murray Walker commentary) in at least VHS quality it would be greatly appreciated for the Gala.

Please call 07956495773

Thanks
Stephen

Stephen as offered, we can patch the audio from that clip onto the better quality video you have.
I'd assumed no call meant it had all gone well :(

It looks like a slightly different cut of the clip so not so easy.

Wait till you hear the really naff 70's style voice over!!

If you would like to attend the meeting (or the day before) with a powerful laptop, the murray walker audio, dvd burner & editing software, please feel welcome
