why wouldn'd she survive the driving in the alps mate? it's picturesque, relaxing, clean air, superb food and wine, nice weather, we're only going to take a leisurely drive, we're not going rallying with Ragnotti

save the crazy driving for when we go through Turin and Milan!!!!

OK this is not impossible.

Eurotunnel fares are still good. £39 each way leaving very late Thursday or very early Friday. Return very late Sunday or very early Monday.

Total £78 shuttle.

Total Journey = approx 670 miles each way. In a turbo at 30mpg = approx £100 fuel each way. 10 hours.

(740 miles each way (510 miles Calais-Brison St Innocent + 230 miles Brison St Innocent-Monza if you want to include a stop over at Andy Holt's). 8 hours + 3.5 hours.

Total £200 fuel.

+ Peage (toll fares). Approx £50 each way?

+ Hotel Friday & Saturday night. Minimum £60-70per night.

Total per person assuming car is 2 up and equal share of costs is approx £250 each.

went for a Jaunt today......... in the alps of course....... stumbled accross the DEVIL factory, it's only 40 minutes from my house...... could be useful in the future,

main purpose of the jaunt... visit a friend of mine who has a spider no screen in yellow, nice car! an 8 gordini in really good original restored condtion and also a mint A110 1600 in concours condition apparently worth €60,000 and you could see why it was perfect!

A nice fleet of cars if I say so myself, he may be coming with us to Monza as my wife isn't coming now so boys weekend away it is I think :?:

and a very important thing he has a wine cellar under his house with a lot of good wine in it!!! as i found out this morning chating over a nice glass or two of white

Roll on Monza 8)

Just booked a euro tunnel business trip , for thus wed/thur, £23 each way.
AND that was the most expensive time of the day.
Other times were £15 each way.

MAGIC value at the moment.
