Unfortunately, I will not be able to come after all. I have a trip to Spain with revised dated, so won't return in time. Nigel

Just five more sleeps to go :up
Stephen has the route and is I think going to make them downloadable as well as printing some spears. Weather is looking good and if it doesn't go smoothly I am blaming Google maps.
Some reminders of last year...

Downloadable maps would be good as I may be on my own...and fishbones are hard one up...
Looking forward to it...MOT booked for 610 tomorrow, then we will know which car I'll be in...
610 started straight away after 27 months in storage (last on road in 2017...) which is a good sign, but I know alpines and won't be that lucky...you may notice that its missing a few bits too...

Sadly Miles, this is early for me, I bought this A610 8 hours before doing Macon (which it did without issue), what could possibly go wrong?
It was straight back from reassembly before storage in 2020 and I've got 2 days after the MOT this time :angel
No time to get any parts I don't have though...
There is a plan B and C and now I have a navigator too.

Fingers crossed...

Hi Miles,

I will be by my self so unless there is anyone who wants to come along as a passenger then like Macon I may have to follow Lee...!

Cheers, Barry.

All the best with the drive everyone! I was hoping I might be able to come along to introduce myself in person with my new GTA to the club, but given that my MOT is booked in for early August, I think it might be wiser for me to give this one a miss. I would rather wait until the car has had another once over in case there are little gremlins that I am not aware of, despite having fixed everything that I think would have failed on the MOT.

I look forward to joining you all on the next one!

Well,
as Miles predicted the 610 didn't pass...nothing serious but a couple of minor leaks (one oil, one water), no rear fog lights and emissions issues. I think the injectors need an overhaul as the car flooded and stalled during the emissions test...at least I'll start with that. As it hadn't been run for more than two years and not been on the road since 2017 my luck with it has clearly not been enough.
Barry, with the amount of fumes coming out of this 610, you don't want to follow it right now..

Do I get the "latest unsuccessful award for preparation" as opposed to the Dell award for latest successful preparation?

So I'll be in a Smart...probably the Blue one that I used during my Alpless phase.

Both the usual navigators are unavailable so I have new one and will be following Barry but with 170bhp less! (that's more than an Atmo less in power)

See you all on Saturday

That's a shame Lee but at least you are coming. You do need to be careful not attending in an Alpine as even Stephen has been seen out and about in a working Alpine these days. :o

Hmmmmm,

These are all in Kilometers and Meters, my speedometer records in Miles and Miles per hour. Is this a cunning ploy.
It's a good job that hopefully Lindsay will be able to come along after all...! :-)

Cheers, Barry.
