at Croix last year, I saw guys turning up inj their cars and then changing the silencer to a straight through unsilenced system before they went on the circuit and then before they went home they refitted the road system......and I never saw any noise meters anywhere,

At Mas du Clos they used to drive in with the 'straight thro' megaphone systems

Andy, Mas du Clos looks like a seriously pleasant circuit.

Excellent place! Ideal for the 8 Gordinis as there's a twisty bit round the back (next to the private collection of prancing horse carts and gordinis).

Simon,

yes it's a dream venue, there are several circuits like this in the heart of France.....and they are very reasonable to hire so...... cheap for a trackday.....and it's a 3 Km long......

there is only one problem...... it's 7 hrs from calais.... it's even 4 hrs from my house. like quite alot of the circuits in france..... all the better ones are further south .... Dijon and below. more reasonable to hire but they are in awkward locations and getting people to drive that sort of distance is quite hard.....
unless you know at least 35 car owners who wish to prove me wrong I'll organise it, I've already sent them an email requesting available dates and prices

the 3 main ones in the north.... Croix, Abbeville and Follembray are booked up for 90% of the year already (unless you fancy whizzing round on snow and ice) not even ASAN can get their usual date in September as the circuit has race meetings through the month now

cheap altenative..........weekend in the isle of man.....NO speed limits on the main roads  £180 return on the ferry in the summer

There is a guy round here who must have the fastest renault in the world, even faster than the Turbo f1's (ahh the good old days). His GT turbo has 4 exhaust outlets each being about 6" diameter!!! Must have exhaust valves like 12" dinner plates!!!!!! :? :? :?

Autoroute tells me 6 hrs from Calais, 400 mile, that should take about 5 with a quick pee stop, and 3 refuelling stops for the Atmo GTAs.

Let me know if you go, I've loads of holiday to use up.

There is no ASAN track day at Croix this year so this will be your only chance for an all Renault/Alpine meet at Croix.

Don't miss it.

See the Members Area for an even better rate!

Shuttle (Eurotunnel) is currently £54 for a day trip and £59 for an overnight stay.
