There's a cafe on site that we meet up in before kick off .
I'll be at J20 M1 @ 8.30 .
There is a lay by just as you come off the motorway before the Whittle roundabout .

BRUNTINGTHORPE FINAL INSTRUCTIONS

MEETING POINTS

Usual meeting point for Southerners is Toddington services on the M1. Aim for 7.00 - 7.30 if you want to meet there and keep in touch on your mobile phone.

There's around 60 miles / 1 hour to go from that point.

Meeting point for Northerners please see Clee.

VENUE

Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground
Lutterworth
Leics, LE17 5QS

The cafe at Bruntingthorpe opens at 8 and we normally get there around 8.30.

That gives us an hour for breakfast and to get organised.

There will be a short breifing and you will have to sign a disclaimer.

We normally kick off at 9.30.

I've been asked to point out there is some car storage at the top of the main runway which reduces the width from 60m to 45m approx so look out for any other vehicles coming out of the S's on the gate circuit.

COST

Assuming we have a full house (and 10 people have booked) the cost per member will be £92.25 including insurance, so the ususual £90 will be OK. If there is not a full house the cost may be adjusted, however any spare deposits will be forfeited and used to offset. You must be paid in full before the event starts, no excuses accepted. CASH or CHEQUE only. We have to pay in full on the day.

Non members will have to pay an additional £15 joining fee for insurance purposes. Absolutely no exceptions so please do not ask.

Additional spectators over and above one passenger per paid car £10.

SAFETY

It has been a real struggle to get the insurance this time and the insurance policy has only been agreed today.

So please follow instructions on the day and take things seriously. We have not had any incidents before and we don't want to start now!

Marshalls will need to wear a hi-viz jacket. Minimum 2 so that will be myself and Mr Garner at the very least as Mark is used to getting you all organised in the morning at the very least.

Don't forget your HELMET! If you have a spare please bring it as someone always forgets.

Racesuits and other safety clothing are not compulsory but if you have them you may wish to wear them.

Make sure you have a fire extinguisher with you, a first aid kit is also recommended.

No passengers for Vmax runs. Passengers acceptable pm for power runs and handling.

YOU MUST HAVE A WORKING CIGARETTE LIGHTER SOCKET FOR THE TIMING GEAR!! - Mark have you rigged one up for the Spider?

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF FUEL OR BRING A CAN!
