I think I spoke with the GTA Europa cup driver at the Classic in 2010.
I seem to remember his saying he has tried a lot of stuff in the engine bay and is now using a 3.0 std engine set up.

To be fair, it is not as if all the TVRs were "racing" ...... while the GTA carved through the pack.

I think the bloke is an idiot. Its a parade after all.
Mind you the TVR owners cannot really moan given one of them knocked a DB4 Aston into the pit wall.

AFR

Postby Miles » Sat Jul 14, 2012 11:13 am

AFR 14 most of the time. 12ish on full throttle acceleration. Slight lean to 15 on part throttle under part load at high speed in 5th. So pretty much spot on with initial set up. Just a little tweeking should have it perfect.

Steve, what method were you checking AFR? Gets addictive haha

Too be fair lots of people didn't drive them like parade laps. I was out with alot of cars that were driving it like a trackday - seems rude not to for the price they were charging. Steve's got a good vid of me with a 360 Fezza if he got post it up please

it was a fench guy in the tvr which nailed the aston.... also a french guy in a mustang T boned a pantera when he failed to make the chicane.... typical example of power to ability ratio and a belly full of vin rouge

drive as fast as you want...... drive like a trackday..... looks like most people on there drove with etiquete and kept their eyes open, i had a little play with an elise but his red visor decended and he decided to start driving it a little too hard ..... going into wet slippery corners.... i prefered to give it a little gas on the straights and be gentle into the bends, the incident that pursuaded me was when were in file to go onto the circuit in the previous run a bright yellow esprit spun on the last bend before the pit entry right infront of us and that decided all for me..... keep out of the way of nuttas and take it easy luckily were were the last car on and plenty of free air and open track infront of us.

No one is going to drive like a parade at 140 euros. If it was free they might. It isn't so people will drive like a track day.
