That is just ONE of the great things about the GTA. The passenger can not see the speedo, even when it is working. Does my good lady know all about mph per thousand rpm in each gear, I guess not. Does yours Lee/David ?

I have a spare front seat if any one wants a ride for a contribution to some of the travel expenses.

No good news yet I'm afraid

This morning I telephoned 8 more gites and faxed 4 hotels.

I have also sent an urgent request to the tourist board.

I will keep you informed.

However on the plus side. Renault confirmed the registration of the eight cars today!

Ironically usually at the old 'world of leather' roundabout a couple of hours before departure. Or at the shuttle terminal 30-40mins before departure.

Have found an empty chateau so am negotiating a price. Looks fantastic but sounds expensive!!

ACCOMODATION

Postby stephendell » Fri Jul 01, 2005 10:51 am

Accomodation booked:

http://www.vauloge.com/

Don't care how much it cost's

Good job it's on Lee then!

Special price of 2000 euros for the weekend. To be split equally so around £70 per night each at present (includes breakfast). Some will get better rooms than other's but hey that's life! (plus they all look pretty good)

Simon has suggested 'Suite Cassanova' for Lee to pacify Dawn!

Only problem is I suspect Sarah might develop a sudden interest in the trip when she sees the accommodation and they might have a fight on their hands!

Bloody Hell Stephen,
Should we be booking in as Gentry and taking Dinner Jackets and Lounge suits. Best I fill up with an extra gallon of fuel to get from the main road up the drive to this Chateau.

Did you see this link on the chateau website 8)
http://www.circuitalainprost.com/

Accomodation booked

All confirmed, they have my credit card details :? so no backing out now guys :(

11 persons Friday night. 13 persons Saturday night.

Also can the rest of you please hassle David to bring his young lady (she needs the day off work), that way Sarah might go, Dave & Simon will have passengers to help with the shuttle cost, the chateau bill will get split 11 ways and most of the boys won't have to share a double bed!

Also Lee will get a bigger party :D

If Shadi and Graham still decide to come I'm sure they could kip somewhere on Friday night (the floor in the boys room or the library  ) and have a twin room on Saturday night. That would bring the cost down even more.
