URGENT GT BATTLE ROCKINGHAM 25th JUNE

Postby stephendell » Wed Jun 08, 2005 6:29 pm

www.gtbattle.com

Hi Guys, the offical deadline for advance tickets has passed so we need to firm this up pronto.

Discounted admission for the Club Stand is £12.

If you are interested or on the list below please send me a cheque or £12.50 via paypal. + Name/Car/Reg

Please indicate if you are registered for any events. If you still want to register for the zero-60 you can do that but you need to register for the event separately and directly with the organisers. The cost is £15 on top of your entry fee.

I'm expecting:

Myself
Tony Smith
David G.
Lee.C
Ben.S
Joe.

Any others?

We have a 10 car stand so four places to fill.

payment@renaultalpine.co.uk

I will presume per car until informed otherwise.

I'll check with the gtbattle admin in the meantime.

FINAL ARRANGEMENTS

Postby stephendell » Wed Jun 22, 2005 6:15 pm

The final attendance list is:

Stephen Dell GTA
Lee Crowston GTA (0-60 confirmed)
Ben Shephard GTA
Ken Waterlow GTA
Ken Clymo GTA
David Gentleman GTA
Tony Law LAGUNA (Support car)
Graham Hainke CLIO 172 (0-60 provisional)
Tony Smith SKYLINE
Joe Salama A610 (0-60 provisional)
Shadi Eddin GTA (0-60 provisional)
Simon Taylor + 1 GTA

We have been allowed 20 square metres per car based on 10 cars, so 200 square metres total. Tony has been offered a place on the Skyline OC or GTR OC Club Stands & I'm sure we can find somewhere for the support car so hopefully we will all fit!!

More are welcome but there will be no room for you on the club stand and you will have to pay the normal admission price.

Here's the plan:

http://www.renaultalpine.co.uk/Club%20Areas%20CD.pdf

The best route appears to be straight up the A1(M). This is good because it means that some of us can meet South Mimms services at the Junction of the M25 & A1(M) and travel in convoy.

If you cannot meet here please email me and I will send your pass by email for you to print out.

The show opens to the public at 9.00am, so ideally we need to be there and set up before then. I suggest leaving South Mimms by 7.00am latest.

However I suspect that the majority of the 'public' will be on show or club stands themselves. So maybe a bit later if you all fancy a lie in!

Is everyone OK with this? What do you think?

Thanks for organising today Stephen,
An educating day out, that drifting is something else!

Lex and the event organisers will have learnt a lot today, things could have run a bit smoother to say the least, but hey I'm glad I was not organising such a big do.

I agree, but seeing as it was his maiden event it wasn't to bad except when the food van ran out of food and the chef went AWOL!

Good to see everyone again and Roll On WSR Le Mans!

Andy

Yes, cheers Stephen.

It was good to put some personalities to names!

What happened to the 0-60 challenge, did they eventually organise it? Did anyone have a go?

What! All those 4WD machines scared of a damp track! :?

Maybe the RWD competitors were scared of the GTAs traction advantage!

Pity, I would have liked to how the GTAs fared. Would have made a more interesting spectacle amongst all the usual japanese stuff!
