I've been fancying this one for a while, looked up flights and Birmingham-CDG is coming in about cheapest/nearest to me but I'm not sure about the other end, what the nearest/most convenient French 'bed in a box hotel' the flights are all morning returns so it would have to be a two nighter.
Or I tunnel it on the cheap overnight ticket, but I've never done Paris in a car before, so no idea where to stay.
I've got University interviews with my Daughter about then so it's probably a no go, depends if I can squeeze it in, time off work etc.

Unfortunately I won't be going, but as a former regular traveller to Paris here are a few things to help you make up your mind.
CDG is to the north of Paris, the venue is the the south west, taxis are expensive so I'd recommend the RER then the metro. These run from the airport train station which you access from the terminal shuttle bus, depending on which terminal you arrive at.
There are lots of hotels, including budget brands around the airport, formel1, ibis etc, you should be able to find one and I expect most have transport to the terminals too. My favourite for cheap but good just now is ibis budget, basic, cheap but clean and comfortable. Book online.
As you are crossing Paris anyway, you don't need to stay at the airport and may get a better deal in town, especially at the moment as tourism hasn't fully recovered.
If you plan to drive, you are going to need to drive around Paris too. To get to this part of Paris I'd take the autoroute via Amiens as that minimises the distance on the peripherique, which tends to clog.

Driving in Paris is a PITA, especially when the weather is poor. Parisian drivers have a zero tolerance level for anyone, even other Parisians (especially Non-Parisians and tourists). Train or Flying is much easier.
As Lee says, loads of places, although the cheaper ones local to the show tend to fill quickly.
I'm there for the whole show with Dad and his mates. We'll stay in an Ibis which is quite local. I've been before some years back but can't remember where it is beyond saying it's 10-15 minute walk south of the venue.
With the metro being easy to use, a bit of distance shouldn't be a problem....usually

Love that film, never mind it wasn't a Ferrari and it wasn't Jacky Ickx or who ever driving, but the seventies vibe and lots of Renault spotting still makes it one of my all time favourite pieces of film, and the fashion at the end is fantastic, I'd love to wear something like that in the GTA one day................................but I I'm not sure if my legs would suit that dress. ............
No go for me on this, not enough in the penny jar and about four Uni interviews to be dragged to....sorry take my Daughter to.

Some good roads there Ryan.... I can boast I have driven in the alpes maritime (Col de Turini etc) in a Group B car
..Sadly..that was Group B in hire car terms (think 4 up in a 1.0 Ford Fiesta) not FIA Group B... a big difference...
