That's good. Friday 8th is a UK public holiday in 2020 (not the usual first Monday of May).

That should help boost the numbers...
Easier for time off work or would allow folk to go en famille.

VE day innit.
I am sure those who campaigned for that to be a holiday meant it as well as the usual ones.... not instead.
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

Hi Stephen,

I'm potentially interested in attending this event too. I really enjoyed the 2017 event...won't mention my abortive attempts to get there in 2018...!

Cheers, Barry.

Based on the photos and comments this event sounds great, and as an Alpiniste and Francophile I'd be very interested in attending, but would welcome some more info. on what the itinery is, plus an idea of costs, etc...
Can any of you guys help me, please?
Clive.

Here's the original description....format of the event is largely unchanged. It's a great weekend...

viewtopic.php?t=2731

There are a few vids on you tube if you search for AMAG Macon.

For the RAOC lot it's typically a Eurotunnel early Friday (for maybe 5 ish cars) Then the obligatory stop at the Reims circuit and lunch. Arrive Macon late Friday. ..and do the even per the link above.

Others.. maybe another 2 or 3 cars take a more touristic route down on the Thursday.

Mr Dell typically books our places with AMAG and we pay them directly when we arrive in Macon.

So...
I'm now trying to plan around this trip. How many have we got?
Nigel,
Barry,
David
Paul,
Phil & Nikki
The Owlers,
Me...
Any one else??

How many is that definitely?
I'm having to fit this in between being in Germany before and after, so it looks to me like I need to go down early and leave the car somewhere for a day or so- Lyon Airport maybe, I'm working out the details, but just wanted to check that we have a group going.
I was wondering what plans people have for going down and back?
Normally I leave Sunday PM and stay in Troyes on the way back to break the journey back into halves.
Thoughts?

Hi Lee,

I am certainly planning on going this year and I too would be amenable to breaking up the return journey with an overnight stop ...somewhere, returning to the UK on the Monday.
That said I could take a day either side of 8th to 10th so I could depart on the Thursday as well, but I agree that breaking up the return journey would be a great idea.

Regards, Barry.

I'm thinking of doing Macon for the first time, with my mate, in our yellow Spider. We'll probably want to break the journey both ways, and could make it an extra-long weekend maybe?
