How far do you go?

Postby JohnC » Mon Dec 03, 2007 8:09 pm

I must be the lucky one, I have done this trip a number of times with some variations. The basic trip is as follows:- Jersey - Berlin - Colditz - Dresden - Prague - Budeapest - Vienna - Saltzberg - Over the Alps to the Italian lakes, then over the Alps again to Avignon - Limoges - Rennes - St Malo - Jersey. approx 4000mls. On one trip only did I have a problem when the Rear Glass engin cover Exploaded when I opened it to cool the engin in the Alps. Time taken, 4 weeks. The car a std GTAV6 atmo. less probs with these. I have had the car since new (1990 Alpine Badged) and the car has just covered 30000mls. | have done this trip around 4 times with variations. And you wont believe this, I had a 2 berth Rapido Caravan in tow, on an Alpine Towbar!!!!

Not at all, sad as it would seem I am genuinely excited about seeing your GTA and caravan, we should send it to Mr Clarkson to really p*ss him off!!!
