Head is not that clever .We are going to have to risk it though and pop in a bigger stepped seat to try and ' plug ' the hole .
Breaks into water chamber on the worked head + one other test head but not on another ...castings ......
Heat shrunk in and hope it holds out ...if not it'll lunch the engine

I'm not sure of the details of what's gone on but something sprung to mind, reading this.

A couple of years ago at the Silverstone Classic, I saw a guy demonstrating some special alloy that enabled you to weld alloy heads / blocks, fill holes etc. Quick and pretty easy to use and worked a treat.

Perhaps you've heard of this sort of thing but if not and if it's of interest, I'll dig the details out.

Heads have been welded Jon ,we'll just have to see if they hold up or not ..
Front gear on .Need to chop away some of the fibreglass and let top sandwich plate in .This will carry strutbrace mounts .

Lee,
What are the plates around the coil damper units for? Is it repairing rust or strengthening? Its not angle adjustment is it?
Thanks

Strengthening + adjustment when we start getting some tracktime feedback.
Europacup cars have similar plates .

This is what can happen if set too hard , another car here for some major attention

OOPS,
I guess you'll need to stamp that chassis number back on too! Good bulge there.

Cheers
