No, there are a few SAAB B204 and B205 lumps out there pushing over 900bhp.
2016 Mercedes A200d 2.2 AMG, 7sp DCT.
2003 Renault Laguna II 3.0 24v V6 Diamonique Auto.

Great results Lee. The cams are the key, standard 2.5 cam lobes are almost round :lol: one of the lowest lift ones fitted in a road car ever! What lift are the new ones compared to the 3 litre lump? I'm surprised you didn't blow the car up with those injectors though (you running any fueling mods at all?) because 240 cc would be maxed out at about 230bhp at standard fuel pressure. Power still goes up if you run lean but it doesn't for long! Is this the dark blue car I saw on the rollers oop north last year when alternator blew up?

Several Honda VTEC engines round the world putting out over a 1000 bhp

Well I've done over 2k miles on the car running back and forth to work pretty much flat out when ever possible, and speeding fines to prove it with one very lucky near miss... only thing that blew me away was a new M5.

It's also been hill climb raced, double driven all day at Loton and Prescott... no blow-ups in sight

Still going quite happy, no smoke and was the fastest GTA on the day...

Interestingly, and I guess connected to this, I was just looking through a pile of old paper work, and came across some of Dave Arts old stage tuning pricing etc… note this is 2005 vintage and pricing... sad init that I had kept it, but I don't need a shrink yet as I wasn't looking for it, as that would have been double bubble sad!! Anyway.. boils down to the following:

There were 6 stages of GTA turbo tuning offered, with the following breakdown:

Stage 1 235 BHP…. I don’t have the details printed
Stage 2 245 BHP…. same as above…
Stage 3 260 BHP…. ditto
Stage 4 275 BHP…. so we are talking Will territory, but I don’t have the details of this package, does anyone on here? More importantly did anyone buy it?

Stage 5 300 BHP…. performance pack consisting of intake, race exhaust (I assume OE headers), stage 3 T4 turbo (lag monster), boost upgrade kit 150 quid (assume still running the Renix…  ), fuel reg 105 spods, modified alloy intercooler at 400 quidies, and the 230cc injectors (note 240cc are maxed out giving over 14:1 AFR at 275BHP) at 420 pots of gold..

Stage 6 300-400 BHP… intake system 95 quid, race exhaust 395 quids, stage 3 T4 turbo 695 squids, injectors, ecu, map sensor, etc 250 degree cams 300 snots, running 18 psi and supposed to give 325 to 400BHP. No mention of replacement headers…

GTA turbo race cam, 270 deg, cost 350 quidies…
Atmo cams of 296 (fast road – sounds a tad long to me  ), and 308 degrees… I guess race only, but did anybody buy and try these items out of interest?
