I thought I should inform some of you guys who might have the same problem. The pedal rubbers were completely knackered on my GTA. Found these on Ebay, not the same but fit 100% and they are still Renault equipment.

Mad question, but has anybody ever moved the heater control panel on a GTA, for example where the stereo is fitted? By possibly using a R19 or equivalent control panel?

That's got me thinking

Postby si21 » Sun May 05, 2013 12:58 pm

That's got me thinking... I have a brand new R19 heater control panel ...is it the same as the one on the 610 less Air Con? Is anyone on here familiar with the controls on both cars; GTA & 610? If so is it possible to change I wonder if the cables are the same?

Being able to do this would allow me to put a cut off switch were the old heater control panel sits now.

Mine is similar. Pretty much at 90. Just below usually but might creep over on a good run on a hot day.

Now that I have sorted all the electrical gremlins, I am now in the process of make it more pleasing to the eye, I was trying to have this sorted for Prescott, but unfortunately the front wing was stuck on, unfortunately leaving everything to the day before  . So I ended up turning up in the RAT LOOK GTA. Fieldmouse will still be painting the whole car in due course, but for the moment this will do.

BEFORE: Old wing, cracked in three places and the horrid sand paper job. :?

Amazing what a bit of paint and polish can do....

AFTER
Image

The front wing removal was a complete nightmare, especially after 23 years being fitted onto the car.Replacement wing is not a perfect fit, but will do temporarily until the full paint job.

NEXT: I have a full leather interior, still not too sure if I should fit it as I really like the cloth.

Looking nicer now. Car has promise I think and I am surprised I like the colour but think it really suits the GTA.

Trevor.

Looks great Don Dini.

Did you spray the wing yourself or get lucky with a breaker one?

Gta has been really good through the winter period, I drive it often to work and has been really reliable. Paint job postponed until later in the year, as Andy is flat out. I have decided to treat it to a little make over in preparation for the respray.

Has anybody fitted, or can tell me if an A610 starter motor is a direct fit onto a GTA Turbo?
