.

No point on a GTA, wrong car isn't it, just doesn't have a credible chassis in the first place, put a roll cage braced to the front turrets and stiffen it all up and then there is a point, other than that it just needs to be el cheapo for the jelly mould  lol..

We still need to do that to JIL .....I'll get some extra tubing and hopefully get something done over the Winter this year .Anyway you're the one who was going on about the "wee wee" poor flex in the rear frame innit .
I'll get it uprated and wit provision to dial in camber but not bother with Titinnit .
Popped into Pirtek today and hopefully they are going to be able to supply me with a kit to replace both remote filter oil pipes 8) Should pick up the prototype Weds .
Can I have a show of hands of any orders for these please .Will not be exact copies but will be correct and fit the existing takeoff plates at engine and outrigger .Stainless overbraided teflon flex crimped to all new fittings 8)
Price will be around 200 a pair but I can see if we can't knock that down a bit with a few more orders ????

On with grotty lump strip down for a quick refresh and spruce up .Lump shows good comp .Re-finish covers ,clean etc etc .
We have a new waterpump to go on along with some others bits from the Dieppe run .

Back to the points about galvanising. This was something I looked into as I was arranging for my GTA to visit Lee for some TLC.

I read that you need to be careful hot-galvanising things like subframes as the heat can warp the geometry of the frame. In the end, I went for some galvanising paint that is painted on cold. Lee then painted over this for extra protection. It's only been on a year but seems good so far.

It's weird stuff, though, as Lee will tell you. :)
