Lotus Esprit 91 turbo

Postby mellowyellowa610 » Sun Oct 26, 2014 10:03 am

Not an Alpine (apologies but you don't have to look!) but hopefully will show what I am up to with other cars now.

Bought this a while back now as a project. I didn't buy it because it was yellow by the way! It was a decent car that was known by us but had been off the road for a number of years. Very rough around the edges but fundamentally a sound car. Ideal for a project.

Engine actually ran sweet but needed lots of service and cosmetic work.

Headlamp motors/module knackered.

Did the dreaded cambelt (how lucky are we as Alpine owners not to have that bill every 2-4 years!), complete engine service, new clutch slave, master and pipe, spruce up, new twin exit exhaust and de-cat pipe and lots of other little things. Now using this as my daily driver. Still bits to do but it's MOT'd and getting some mileage under its tyres after basically doing 300 miles in 5 years before it was bought.
