I thought that the factory did a tuned version of the A310 with the 2 air intakes, but I guess it may have just been 'personal tuning'. I've seen it on a few A310s across Europe where they cut a second inlet from the inside of the nearside air intake.

Although this may have a tiny benefit on a standard A310, the real improvements only come when the manifold & heads are also improved.
