Hopefully collected this week and off for a short holiday in France.

Happy for Andy to post up photos of the work being done - should be interesting especially the new ECU to map the ITB's.

Also quite open to any modification of the brake system that improves overall performance.

the simple and best option is already on order........, unless you want to trade the 4 pot kit in for a 6 pot big brake kit in the future....

we run bigger kits on race spiders with 340mm disks and 6 pot calipers but only because it has more mechanical grip due to it running on slicks with a different suspension setup etc and a bit of down-force created by the air screen too.... a road spider's grip is a lot less than a race setup I'm sure the 6 pot kit would be too much.

I really, really wouldn't fit a servo as the Spider just doesn't need one. The 4-pot HiSpecs will be perfect - fit hoses and fluid and DS2500's (or equivalent, to personal preference) and just learn to press a little harder. My HiSpecs have been proven at The Ring, Brands, Spa, Snetterton and countless Goodwoods and never once failed to impress. JFDI and all will be well Rupert!

Rupert just needs to let those moths out of his wallet and invest in the spider :sarcasm it will be worth it in the end..... once he's fried the original disks at macon maybe... :up

there's several cars around UK and Europe tuned, standard and race spiders all using our brakes 4 pot, 6 pot, the whole range we're also currently sorting a big kit for a trophy car that's still being raced in Portugal and they've just upgraded the car to 17" wheels for this seasons racing and it was rebuilt after a crash at the end of last season and it was tested early last month with good results :Cheer ....... also a kit has gone to Norway for a tuned car which my specialist programmer will fly over to remap its original ECU in April as the engine is in rebuild at the moment......

keeping the Spider alive!

Just changing the subject for a min, my 610 has yellow pads in from the previous owner and thay are crap until thay are pretty dam hot not that good for the road, I was going to put standard ones back in but I am going to Macon, is the driving that hard that it's worth leaving them in.

cheap n nasty ebc Sh!t stuff.... throw them in the bin and buy anything but ebc.... the worst pads I've ever tried if your A610 has standard disks use standard pads, anything else will warp them when hot as the 24mm thickness doesn't help and there's absolutely no cooling, or get some nice grooved disks with mintex or ferrodo pads in there :up

you could do, and change them once 50% worn

I use spot grooved disks on the front and grooved disks on the rear of my 130bhp vw transporter.... standard mintex pads which are like £35-40 a set, and it stops ok from max speed with no fade....
I could supply you with a set of mintex to try if you're interested at a nice price....

Hiu Custard,
Initially I had ebc in my 610...changed to Lucas factor pads after a few weeks (mine were £25) as I got fed up with the noise...it did three Macons...no noticeable fade, its open roads, not circuits. (and yes one of the Macon events it did spend the time on Gilberts truck, so only two really count).

Happy days...shame I'm not coming this time, no car...yet ;=((
