how to increase power of A310

Postby xranalli » Fri Jul 01, 2016 6:11 am

Hello folks
Maybe I'll receive early a gift, A310 ph2.
I've to reomologate in Italy...a lot of work forma me...
In my mind I would to start to think how to improve it, better how to increase the power.
My idea is that every model after A310 ph1 should have 50hp more...if you compare these car with competitors of their era...maybe I'm radical
A310 vs Esprit turbo (210hp) (infact Boulogne had 193hp)
V6 turbo GTA vs Porsche 911 (from 230 to 250hp) vs Esprit SE (264hp)
A610 vs Porsche 911 (from 250 to 300hp)
This is only my theoretical guess...
Now, if I want to increase the power to go close 200hp how can I do?
If you think it is not a good idea please let me know...thanks friends

It is always good to welcome a new member to this great Alpine site.
Good luck with additional 50 BHP, that could be fine.

How can you decide any car has insufficient power before you have driven it?

Well l went down to halfords and you can get 5hp from fitting a high flow air filter, 8 to 10 from an exhaust 3/4 from a high power spark and 2/3 from expensive oil, so 20hp without stripping down the engine.
With the 2.7 170/5 with work, 2.8 engine 185/195. You can get mour but will cost mega money and it will lose bottom end power. :A310

Only that it is an Alpine, and as such provides the opportunity for work.
Maybe not straight away, but at a moments notice, or no notice at all.

I must check everything
but by my first test it seems not happy to go over 3000rpm, I meen the engine is not so fast to go on with rpm
but it start very well, my impression is the mixing is too fat...
has this car starter? Where is it?
