RAOC Goodwood Track Day - 10th Nov - Any takers?

Postby stephendell » Tue Jul 10, 2012 8:57 pm

We met Alan the new events manager for Goodwood at Le Mans Classic and he has offered us a deal for a cheap Goodwood Track day.

We would need approx 40 cars and the cost would be £135 per car for a full day.

9.00 - 5.00 with a 1 hour lunch break.

This includes exclusive circuit hire, exclusive use of the lower level of the circuit pavilion, AMRCO public liability insurance for £10 million, marshals, safety vehicles, and a pro instructor.

Decibel limit can be 98 or 105 but the higher figure limits the number of cars on track at one time. For the 98 decibel day we can have approx 10 - 12 cars on track at any one time in 20 minute sessions open pit lane.

The only current weekend day available is Sat 10th November

I guess we could invite RCCC, CAR, V6 Clio and a few others to try and acheive the required numbers.

This could be a very nice event.

Would anyone be interested?

Probably would split into 3 or 4 groups of different ability levels.

5 or 6 sessions of 20 minutes for each group.

Would normally be 100% up for this (especially as Goodwood is suucchh a good track)... but GTA is off the road at the moment :( and not back on road 'til Sept earliest.

p.s. as discussed on the phone, I've sent you an email 'order', let me know what/where to pay. Thanks.

I would like to do this but unfortunately no Renault to do it in. The GTA won't be up to it without some work. If you need numbers up and allow other cars then I have cars I would take, but not Renault.

Trevor.

If my Atmo is ready I'm up for it but if not there isn't really anything else I can use at the minute, turbo GTA's are crap for prolonged circuit use as the clutch fluid boils after a few laps!

They will hold the Saturday 10th November date until the end of next week so can we try and produce a sensible list of who would be available.

Renault / Renaultsport / Alpine / Gordini cars only.

I got a bad DNA rate for events this year but I'd be up for this.
