Having put my G33 in the gravel trap at Prescott and not having done any competition in the GTA I think I will find a venue with bigger run off areas to explore the limits of the GTA.

There was an A610 doing ok up the hill today. It was quicker than the numerous Lotus Elise's

That will be...

Postby si21 » Sat Apr 27, 2013 4:35 pm

That will probably be Tim Jeffrey, was it blue with white rims and at a guess he will have been running at about 50-51 seconds?

I too have been off at Prescott its ok if its dry, it's when its wet just make sure you drive accordingly and stay out of the gutters ...too much water and debris washes off the hill at the hair pin and you cant stop on it ...I speak from experience:shock:  I drove it with only one sprint under my belt you just have to build up your speed take it easy to start with, I love it 8)

It was a blue one with white rims. Did 52 ish if I remember correctly, Elises were 55 to 60. It had just rained. A610 was 5mph quicker at the speed trap.

I like Prescott, I could get well under 50 seconds in the G33 but it was more powerful and lighter than GTA

Ah apologies required...trying to teach a chicken to lay eggs

I must admit I have been caught out with the rear engine configuration on a small number of occasions, but then on circuits where there is nothing to hit, I have only been driving the Alp for a couple of years having been an owner for considerably longer period of time. So when I started sprinting it, I was in at the deep end, I just try to drive within myself at Prescott as I cant afford to stack it, although I do tend to try a little too hard at times due to the lack of power compared to that of the opposition in class.

I believe Mr Taylor holds the fastest time in a GTA turbo up the hill in a nit under 53 seconds.....In my Atmo my best time to date 2011 was 57.40 but the first time I had driven Prescott in a GTA (my 2nd sprint) and in the dry; it has always rained at La vie en bleu in previous years. I obviously hope to improve that this year.

Be good to see another GTA on the hill.
