IRISH VISIT: MEAL 26th JUNE + FACTORY SHOP DIEPPE 27th JUNE

Postby stephendell » Sun Jun 12, 2005 9:18 pm

Dermot, Richard & Liam are coming to London on Sunday 26th and would like to put names to as many faces as possible.

Some of us will be at the Bromley Pageant all day but it would be appreciated if we could still get together in the evening on Sunday 26th to greet the Irish chapter!

They will be staying in the Royal Docks so a Central London venue would probably be the most appropriate.

They are also going across to Dieppe to the Alpine factory shop on Monday if anyone would like to join them.

I know that David, Tony & myself will definately be joining them.

If you can make Sunday evening and/or Monday and have any suggestions for making it one for the Irish boys to remember please reply to this thread.

Just finished doing all the booking (hotel, ferries, etc) and I'm getting excited. This'll be the longest run I'll have done in the GTA. Hope it stands up to it!

The plan

Postby Tony Smith » Tue Jun 14, 2005 2:15 pm

If all goes according to plan I'll be attempting to keep up in my Dads 1.7 diesel Astra as I'm hoping to be delivering the interior of my stripped GTA to a French punter. Might be worth letting me keep up though so I can take back any large size purchases in the back of it for you!

Has it been decided what's happening (and where) on the Sunday evening?

Andy

its really a reprise of the regular meetings taking into account the Irish chapter!

Stephen has a location chosen in london - as I am not too familiar with those parts I can't remember- where we'll meet have a bite to eat/drink chat and generally find fault with each others cars

As we have a bit of a drive to get there ( over 400 miles over land and sea) it will be unlikely that we'll be visiting for a while so definitely we would like to see as many alpines as possible

So come on now guys make the effort!

Stephen tell them where we are meeting, please and then tell us how to get there!!

Update re:trip

Sone of us will be at the Bromley Pageant until 6.00 or 7.00 pm on Sunday.

We are then planning to travel to Surrey Quays Retail Park to meet the Irish guys for an evening meal/drink (15 mins or so from their hotel). We will probably get there at 7.30 - 8.00pm

Suggest Quincy's Restaurant (where we had the Mississippi/Mexican night) Unfortunately no 2 for 1 Fajita deals this time. Most of you should know where it is.

Surrey Quays Leisure Park, SE16 7LL

(If you are using multimap, ignore the red circle, it's just in front of the bowling alley off Teredo Street)

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... r3=&addr1=

Plenty of parking.

Anyone not at the Bromley pageant can go just straight there. Will post any more details as I have them.

I'm expecting:

Myself!
Tony Smith
David Gentleman
Joe Salama (possibly)
Rupert
Simon Taylor
Tony Law

& maybe a few others.

On Monday, myself, Tony Smith & David Gentleman will be travelling to the Alpine factory shop in Dieppe with Richard & Dermot. We will be bringing an estate 'support car' for potential large purchases!!

If anyone else wants to join us they are more than welcome. We are booked on Eurotunnel 9.28 out and 19.28 return.
