Are any new A110 owners coming to Prescott La Vie en Bleu on Saturday and/or Sunday?

It’s one fo the nicest events of the year and both Renault UK & Alpine Solihull are sending a new A110.

Tickets are still available on the gate and Orchard passes still available by email or text.

Contact me on 07956495773 if you need a pass.

Some feedback from an alpine owner.

I didn't have the greatest buying experience, the customer centred experience was lacking, eye for detail wasn't the best, the day I picked up the car it had its stocking thrown on, and I had to chase the dealer for my book...
So I changed to a different alpine centre,
Picked up my alpine today, filthy.. I delivered it post detail and now it needs to go in again.. a dealer should really clean their clients cars at this price point... it isn't a second hand Nissan, (next door, who had cleaned their cars !).. apparently "we only acted as delivery service". While I appreciate the motor trade have had a bad year according to SMMT , but at the end of the day I am sick of motor dealers taking us all for a ride..

Sorry to hear that but in their defence I know I asked my dealer not to clean my car when I first collected it.
I'd much rather clean it myself than risk them using a scouring pad/any old rag and putting swirls all over the paint.
Was the car in for a service ?

Given your username, I’m thinking that nice dark blue colour would suit a saltire on the roof!! That’d be really quite cool.

Hi, I've never ordered a new car before; I suppose it being an Alpine it is the right way to start (and finish, as I doubt it will happen again); anyway, new Alpine A110 Pure on order for delivery at the start of November.

Spec is fairly restrained; abyss blue metallic paint, standard 17" ten spoke alloys, focal audio with 4 speakers, front & rear sensors, folding mirror package, aluminium pedals and passenger footrest, Alpine telemetric and floor mats.

Don't know how accurate the number system is on the Alpine app but mine is coming up just under 8,000 which would suggest a good number of the them have been built or are on order. I'd hope that would be good news for long term parts availability and support.

After a restrained test drive (I had a police motorbike behind me for most of it) I've got no where near a handle on the Alpine beyond an idea that it felt quite grown up and that there would be a lot to learn; as an aside, it did not feel like my 5 Turbo - which in some ways it apes - but as an intended daily driver I'm quite glad about that too.

One of the difficulties of this spec is that it has been almost impossible to find any photographs of how the car looks on 17" wheels, nor have Alpine facilitated any tests which is a bit of a shame; so, I'll post up some pictures and any more thoughts once the car is in the UK.

Interesting and thanks for sharing.

I ordered mine in feb and got a call on Thursday to say they’d started building it - should be done in about 10 days and I should hopefully get it in July.

So I’m getting really excited now.

I was also going to order the abyss blue, but when I saw the alpine blue in the flesh I changed my mind. I’d be happy with either as the abyss also looks amazing in the pics I’ve seen.

Having placed an order for my A110 Pure back in February I collected it this week and could not be happier with the car and buying experience.

Tim at Solihull Alpine has looked after me extremely well, with invites to a few events last year and organising a test drive with Alpine Centre Nice whist I was down in the South of France at the beginning of this year. I can thoroughly recommend Route Napoleon in a A110!

Below are a few pictures taken at Detail Your EyeCandy where I picked the car up yesterday. Elliot did a fantastic job detailing the car, applying the Gold PPF package and then ceramic coatings. This is the 3rd A110 he has worked on and I would definitely recommend him.

I feel guilty that the car is now comparably filthy compared to the pictures. I have already put 200 miles on it since yesterday and will be taking it down to Le Mans next week. That should get the running in miles out of the way.

I am planning to attend some events over the next couple of months so hope to meet some of you soon.

Mark

Nice plate and welcome!

Did you keep the 17 inch wheels on your pure? I hear that very few cars have them so would be keen to hear of people's experience with it.

I have a suspicion it would be the sweet spot but it's the fashion to go large with wheels these days.

I have 18"Seracs on mine, chosen because I like the looks. If I were to buy again, I would probably go for 17". The 18's transmit a lot of vibration from the crap roads here in Provence, (and probably the UK).
