A610 Turbo, 1992, RHD, Montana Red, 5 spoke alloys.  Bought to keep and only reluctantly offered for sale, this car has been meticulously maintained and improved.  Recent work includes full engine re-build, air conditioning overhauled, new tyres, brake overhaul, full Dinitrol rust proofing and suspension re-build including powder coating of rear wishbones.  Totally original except for updated Sony stereo and Nokia Bluetooth car kit. 1990 GTA Turbo, excellent red bodywork/ black leather, prepared for speed events (currently in CAR's championship) but also reliable road use. Lowered/uprated suspension, new discs/pads, sports exhaust, Azev type 'M' alloys/tyres recently. In January Chris Rabbets removed rear subframe and shotblasted/powder coated it and wishbones, new bushes, new gearbox oil seals, new clutch (bills available). Engine is standard and good. Renault Alpine GTA V6 (1992) 2849cc (non-turbo) SOLD

 

1992 (J). Renault Alpine GTA V6 Atmo. One of the last ten to be produced. Just had an expensive full engine rebuild so nothing to worry about here such as blown head gaskets etc..... New clutch fitted. All the car including the rear subframe has all been waxoiled from new so no rust anywhere. The doors hinges and pillars are perfect (common fault on these cars). 2 brand new headlight glasses just fitted (£500) so no cracks or delamination. Black velour interior in very good condition. The paintwork is not perfect but very presentable, unfortunately the speedo has developed the usual intermittent problem but I will try my best to fix it before I sell it. This is not a project, it is a good useable car and  most of the main work has been done with just a few minor niggly bits to sort out to make perfect.

 

It has a new MOT and sailed through without any problems. The car has done just under 98k miles. It comes with an expensive Cat 1 alarm with window lift and two remotes. The reason I am selling it, as some of you guys know, I am reducing my fleet so I can buy a Clio V6.

 SIMPLY THE BEST ORIGINAL ALPINE GTA TURBO IN THE UK

This particular Alpine GTA Turbo (June 1988) is reputed as being the best original one in the UK. I bought it from its original private owner who’d had it for nearly 15 years, having bought it from the boss of a Renault Performance Centre, after this very car had had a glowing review in the Classic & Sports Cars magazine:

bullet 70,000 miles from new
bullet full main dealer service history from new (had main service 4 months, 200 miles ago)
bullet all MoTs (current MoT with 11 months to run)
bullet everything is as it should be and works
bullet always off the road from October to March

GTA V6 TURBO (1986) WITHDRAWN

1986 (PP) I am reluctantly selling my GTA V6 TURBO. It is an early 1986 model, (no 7 made I think). It is red with grey cloth seats.  The car is standard apart from a straight-through stainless steel exhaust and an adjustable turbo waste-gate control, located inside the engine bay.

It is currently fitted with unmarked "Borbet" alloys which I had refurbished.  (17 x 10 on the rear and 16 x 7 on the front).  I also have the original wheels, which have good tyres the correct size. I also have a spare red front panel and red front wings, spare front indicators and two rear inner panels.

I am looking for 5K for the car. This is with the standard wheels and does not include the spares mentioned above.   However if a buyer wants the wheels and spares some negotiation will have to take place.

1989 (F) Alpine GTA V6 Turbo. F650 RRK. Bright Red, Black/Grey velour interior. A well known GTA seen at many UK and other continental events.Owned since 2000. 84,000 Miles, Full Service History with loads of bills and other paperwork & nine months M.O.T. Chassis regularly Waxoyled All electrics, fuel gauge, computer, windows, mirrors and door locks work. 1987 (E). Silver with black velour. 89K miles. Azev A wheels 16" Front & 17" Rear. No Tax or MOT but plenty of history. Driver's side headlamp glass is cracked hence lack of MOT but a new replacement is included. The car starts and runs but is not currently driveable due to a sticking throttle although you may be able to free this. The paintwork on the roof and front bumper need attention. I have had the car for over 4 years but don't really have the time to sort it out properly myself. This will make an ideal project for someone looking for GTA.

Renault Alpine GTA V6 GT (1989) 2849cc (non turbo) REDUCED SOLD

1988 (E). This car has had 4 owners, including me. I purchased it 3 years ago as an every day car, had a full service by Alpine Renault Racing & used the car for 6 months! I have only added around 3k miles. Lack of use has been entirely due to work commitments & moving house +  3 other cars & 2 motorcycles! Last year I fitted a 'new' S/H silencer, 2 new rear tyres and had the car MOT'd. It has now has another new MOT and has only covered 36 miles since the last, confirming my need to sell. Current mileage reading is around 45k although the history indicates that a previous owner had a new speedo fitted at 18k miles. It has some original docs, e.g. the owners manual, service book & a full workshop manual. Last 2 owners have been CAR members, for what that's worth.

1987 (D). It is with much regret that I have to sell my beloved GTA. She is one of only 26 1987 cars and is Black with a black interior. She has only done 85,000 miles and has a full service history (also lots of bills, old MOT's etc). I have just had a major service, had the gearbox/clutch inspected and new rear tyres. The car is in pristine condition and is totally original & un-messed with. And yes all the electrics work fine....really!!

She has a full MOT and tax. I am emigrating later this year (If I wasn't she wouldn't be going).

GTA V6 Turbo SOLD

1989 (F). Only 66,000 miles from new. New MOT. 6 months tax. Unmarked grey velour interior. Completely standard apart from tasteful black Momo competition steering wheel. The original is available on request. Original equipment 6 speaker hi-fi with amplifier, graphic equaliser and stalk controls in full working order.

This car was serviced at just over 60,000 miles with no expense spared at a Renault Main Dealer at a cost of over £4700 (yes, four thousand seven hundred!). The invoice runs to 7 pages and included a new clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder, discs, pads, steering gaiters, engine mountings, d/shaft oil seals, cooling fan, valve clearances etc etc. As a result the car is in very good condition mechanically and drives perfectly. The engine is one of the quietest I have heard in a GTA and the car will sit in traffic all day without any signs of overheating.

The car has also had a recent replacement heater matrix. This was done correctly by removing the dashboard, console and seats. Mechanically all original specification apart from adjustable rear dampers and adjustable rear ride height. The headlamp glasses and indicators are free from damage with no cracks or chips. Door pillars are good with no corrosion. Fitted with new quality tyres all round. (Goodyear Eagle). 

Plenty of documentation including original drivers handbook, service booklet, performance centre guarantee and delivery certificate dated 1/1/89. This car still has all the original keys including the two spares attached to the ID tag.

GTA V6 Turbo REDUCED SOLD

1987 (D) Titan red metallic [burgundy] with black interior. The car has 9 months MOT and 6 months tax. The bodywork is really nice all round and looks fantastic. There are NO cracks in the lenses or headlights and also the car has front fog lamps fitted. The top drivers door hinge needs re-bonding to the post [the post is NOT rotten] this is a common job for these cars. The inside is very very clean and tidy. All of the electrics work except for the drivers side solenoid being intermitent. The speedo and all gauges work and also ALL the fans including engine and radiator work fine. Tyres are excellent all round and the wheels are nice and clean. The engine was treated to a rebuild about 2 1/2 years at 58000miles costing nearly £4000 including a clutch and exhaust. The car has now only done nearly 64000 miles. A new speedo was fitted at 46000 miles, there are 18000 on the clock. All MOTs bills and receipts are in a large file. Engine, gears, brakes etc are fine, also just spent £250 on slave cylinder. The car runs, drives, sounds and looks great. A genuine car. Also the reg number is D25 200M. Renault Alpine GTA V6 GT (1989) 2849cc (non turbo) SOLD

1988 (E). 2.9 litre V6. I have owned this stunning car for 7 years, but it is now time to move on…It has an unmarked black body, with full black leather trim throughout. Turbo wheels fitted, with new tyres on rear. Alpine badged (no badges on rear, so gets lots of attention). Only two previous careful owners, present owner 7+ years. The car has been maintained by specialists since new, and always garaged. Recent work includes new hoses throughout, starter motor, cooling fans, and reconditioned brake calipers. Fully documented service history by Renault and Alpine Renault Racing  up to 72K. Just had a £1,000 service and the car had a full re-spray two years ago due to fading and so the bodywork is excellent. The troublesome speedo was replaced a year ago. The leather is in good condition. GTA V6 Turbo (1987) SOLD

1987(PP). Renault Alpine GTA 2.5 V6 Turbo. Private plate C9 GTA included in sale, which according to the DVLA reg. site is worth £900 approximately.

The car is showing 79,000 approx.

Red in colour with original turbo wheels. This car benefits from a new leather interior, black with red centred panels. This was completed about 3 months ago by A1 auto trimmers in Letchworth. It has also been re-carpeted, in black, with matching door panels and mats with alpine logo. New stereo fitted, which is a Sony face off (compatible with existing controls on steering column). Six new speakers also fitted at same time.

The car has a recent engine overhaul costing £1300, including all hoses, nearside rear hub renewed, as have both door solenoids.

The vehicle is fitted with immobiliser and alarm. The vehicle has plenty of history and bills. MOT until Jan 06. TAX until July 05.

Only problems are the windscreen is slightly delaminating in driver corner and the odd stone chip, other than that paintwork is good.

Alpine GTA Le-Mans Danielson (1990) REDUCED SOLD

The original Le Mans Turbo manufactured in 1990 were the first GTA series cars to have a catalytic converter. Unfortunately this reduced the horsepower to 185bhp. A few of the series, I believe 32, were modified by the Danielson factory to increase the horsepower to 215bhp. This particular car is the only Le Mans in the UK to have the modification carried out, therefore it is really a unique model. In addition, my catalytic converter broke in June of 2004 and my mechanic said I could replace it at a cost of £1,100 or simply remove it and replace it with a pipe costing £150. A no-brainer really - this car therefore probably has horsepower in the region of 225 to 230bhp.

The car has been looked after by Alpine Renault Racing for the last eight years. Any mechanical questions can be answered by them. I have always maintained the car to keep it running perfectly. I have owned the Le Mans since 1992. It has a partial service history, however everything required to keep this car in perfect running order has been carried out. The car has just come back from the garage and £1,130 has been spent (March 2005) on renewing lower wishbones, all new suspension bushes front and rear, new brakes (disks and pads) and general lubrication.

The condition of the car is really very, very good, but it is not concourse. There are a few marks on the front bumper and the glazing has cracked almost imperceptibly on the off-side door. The wheels are in very good nick, the two front wheels are only two years old. The rear tyres are six months old. The heater matrix has been replaced recently as have the suspension bushes - both common faults.

The mileage - and this is true miles because my speedometer has never broken (as many GTA's do), is just under 67,000. MOT for 11 months, road tax for four.

I personally think this is the most attractive GTA series car and felt a duty to keep it in excellent order because of it's uniqueness. I would accept an offer in the region of £15,000 £12,500. Please contact Mark on 07768 366 705.

Current mileage 85,000. 10 months MOT – taxed until end of August. This must be one of the best GTA's out there. The bodywork is totally original and no part of it has ever been repaired or repainted (the car has never suffered any kind of accident damage). Interior is A1 – grey velour trim is in excellent unmarked condition. The double DIN radio cassette has been replaced with a single CD Alpine unit but I still have the original unit and will include it in the sale. Headlamp covers replaced (properly!) with correct Renault parts approximately 2 years ago. 4 new Eagle F1 tyres fitted approximately 1000 miles ago. Lots of invoices and old MOTs.

 

Please note that since I purchased it in January 2000, the car has had an undiagnosed coolant leak. I suspect – though cannot be certain – that this may be due to a failing liner seal. A new exhaust will also be required within the next year or so – hence selling for £5995 ovno.
